My
Projects
Sony Animations unique animation style and art direction inspired me to create a poster with my style, while at the same time being influenced by the polka dot stylisations and rough, almost graffiti like wildness that the film portrays.
Procreate allowed me to use its vast brush set to recreate the hand drawn nature of the film and giving me a library of textures to work with. Allowing me to express the almost explosion like colour and merging art styles of the film.

Inspired by 'Spider-Man Across The Spiderverse' by Sony Animation Studios and Marvel

I wanted to convey a bleak and oppressive nature to the viewer as this is overarching motif of the novel. The stark black and white colours provide a simple, removed palate of colour. Similar to the world of 1984
Affinity Designers toolset allowed me to utilise the pen tool to create the curving lines of the eyes and figure. While the typography library available allowed me to find a suitable font to customize and manipulate into the title, wrapping around the eye.
Medium: Adobe Illustrator
Inspired by 'STARBOY' album created by The Weeknd

This work is a direct influence from the album cover, I wanted to push the colours and composition of the artwork that I enjoy and used flat, geometric shapes to simplify the piece. I was inspired by the minimal use of details and blocking that would be seen on posters or leaflets of politicians or figures in power. Its main purpose to be efficient in its use of colours/space to be printed on a large scale.
Adobe Illustrator on the iPad allowed me to use the pen and shape tool to create the geometric shapes needed. While the freedom of using the iPad with the Apple Pencil allowed me to resize and manipulate the image more freely than I could on a desktop for the smaller shapes required.

Inspired by 'Death Stranding' videogame created by Hideo Kojima
Date produced: 2022
For this piece, my intention was to create a wall poster as a personal project for my room. I wanted to emulate the grittiness that is present all throughout the game with the blemishes and speckles. As the world of the Last Of Us is set in an apocalyptic future that has setback humanity.
The use of black and white and the graininess of the piece is meant to portray an old polaroid that has been weathered by time. Symbolising this world in the game.
I used Procreate to take a sketch I had completed of this idea and recreate it digitally with the Procreate brush set at my disposal.

This piece was inspired by the game art direction and world and created with being applied to clothing and merchandise in mind. That is what inspired the colour block background with the figure being centre of frame, drawing in the focus to the smaller details seen on the character compared to the world around him.
I used procreate to utilise the ink brush set available and the pressure/tilt functionality of the Apple pen. Recreating the look of a real fine liner set. The limitless availability of colour options that I was able to create allowed me to create the palate I needed for this piece

Inspired by 'VALORANT' videogame created by Riot Games
Date produced: 2022
This was created as poster for my brother who played Valorant and who's favourite character was the one centred in this piece. I recreated the games official logo as I could not find a high enough resolution PNG to use that would scale up to an A2 size.
I used Procreate and its layer tool to separate each element of the scene. I also utilised Alpha Lock on segments to fill in shade and texture within the shapes boundary's freely.
